A House Oversight Committee hearing turned into a contentious debate on Tuesday when Democratic Rep. Jared Moskowitz of Florida and Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky got into a heated exchange over personal finances.<\/p>\n
\u2018The Chairman mentioned something,\u2019 Moskowitz said during the hearing, referring to Comer who serves as chair of the committee. \u2018He said the Biden administration can\u2019t have it both ways. And I agree which is why I\u2019m happy to yield you some of my time today.\u2019<\/p>\n
Moskowitz said he would yield time to Comer to explain why he has drawn attention to loans as part of an alleged corruption scheme within the Biden family while Comer has also allegedly lent a family member money, according to a recent report, which Comer has denied.<\/p>\n
\u2018I would love it,\u2019 Comer said, accepting the offer to have time yielded to him.<\/p>\n
\u2018You retweeted that story, completely false, I\u2019ve never loaned my brother one penny,\u2019 Comer said, explaining that his dentist father owned farmland and Comer\u2019s brother wanted to keep it in the family so Comer bought it from him.<\/p>\n
Comer said another accusation in the reporting, that he owned a shell company, is \u2018bulls****\u2019 and that only \u2018dumb and financially illiterate people\u2019 believed the report.<\/p>\n
\u2018I went to the bank and I borrowed money I bought that land,\u2019 Comer said. \u2018I didn\u2019t get wires from Romania, China, my family doesn\u2019t get wires\u2026but you and Goldman who is \u2018Mr. Trust Fund\u2019 try to discredit.\u2019<\/p>\n
Moskowitz then interrupted and asked for his time back.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018No, I\u2019m not going to give you your time back, Comer said. \u2018We can stop the clock, you all continue to, you look like a smurf here just going around and all this stuff.\u2019<\/p>\n
The two then began talking over each other with Moskowitz asking for his time back and Comer accusing him of spreading \u2018misinformation.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018You\u2019ve have gone on TV and said something the president did is illegal, you\u2019re doing stuff with your brother,\u2019 Moskowitz shouted as Comer continued to speak.<\/p>\n
\u2018You\u2019re welcome to investigate anything you want to do,\u2019 Comer said, while Moskowitz asked if there are different rules for Kentucky Republican and Biden.<\/p>\n
\u2018We\u2019re supposed to take your word for it, but when the president says something, he\u2019s not telling the truth,\u2019 Moskowitz said.<\/p>\n
Comer then told Moskowitz that he\u2019s \u2018already been proven a liar\u2019 to which Moskowitz replied, \u2018By you? Your word means nothing.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018This seems to have gotten under your skin,\u2019 Moskowitz said when Comer told him to go to his hometown if he wants proof that Comer\u2019s finances are in order.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018I\u2019ll pay for your ticket,\u2019 Comer said.<\/p>\n
Moskowitz then said Comer should sit for a deposition and Comer said he would be \u2018happy\u2019 to testify with the Biden family.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018We can go over our LLCs,\u2019 Comer said. \u2018Let\u2019s do that.\u2019<\/p>\n
The two continued to go back and forth with Moskowitz saying that Comer \u2018may\u2019 have done wrong and Comer responding \u2018but you tweeted that I did.\u2019<\/p>\n
Eventually, Moskowitz\u2019s time ended and the hearing proceeded.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Moskowitz continues to spew disinformation and is attempting to distract the American people from Biden family corruption,\u2019 a Comer spokesperson told Fox News Digital. \u2018Chairman Comer will not be deterred as he works to uncover the facts about President Biden\u2019s involvement in his family\u2019s influence peddling schemes.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018The chairman needs a mental health day, so I have nothing further to add,\u2019 Moskowitz said in a statement to Fox News Digital.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n
