He\u2019s a dictator in the sense that he\u2019s a guy who runs a country that is a communist country, that is based on a form of government that is totally different than ours,\u2019 Biden said.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s first reference to Xi as a \u2018dictator\u2019 came amid the aftermath of a Chinese spy balloon traversing the continental U.S., which caused an uproar after the president waited until it was off the coast of South Carolina before giving the order to bring it down.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The reason why Xi Jinping got very upset in terms of when I shot that balloon down with two box cars full of spy equipment in it was he didn\u2019t know it was there. That\u2019s a great embarrassment for dictators when they didn\u2019t know what happened,\u2019 Biden said.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, his comments incited outrage from the Chinese government, who referred to them as \u2018extremely absurd and irresponsible.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Amid his summit with Xi on Wednesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying issued a blunt warning about America\u2019s friendly relations with Taiwan, referring to the \u2018Taiwan question\u2019 as \u2018the most important and most sensitive issue in China-U.S.\u00a0relations.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The U.S.\u00a0side should take real actions to honor its commitment of not supporting \u2018Taiwan independence\u2019, stop arming Taiwan, and support China\u2019s peaceful reunification. China will realize reunification, and this is unstoppable,\u2019 she wrote in a post on X.<\/p>\n<p>However, when asked about Taiwan in his press conference Biden reiterated America\u2019s commitment to the \u2018One China\u2019 policy, and made no mention of the island nation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-media twitter\">\n<div class=\"tweet-embed\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In his concluding press conference, Biden also referenced deals he said the two governments reached regarding fentanyl supplies coming into the U.S. from Asia and plans to improve communications between the American and Chinese militaries.<\/p>\n<p>Fox News\u2019 Jacqui Heinrich and Timothy H.J.
