Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Sunday countered a warning from former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., about the re-election of former President Trump dooming the American republic, saying that the re-election of President Biden would be disastrous for the entire world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">Graham appeared on CNN\u2019s \u2018State of the Union\u2019 and was asked to respond to Cheney\u2019s remark during an interview over the weekend that a second Trump presidency means that the U.S. is \u2018sleepwalking into a dictatorship.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I understand why people don\u2019t like what he does and says at times,\u2019 Graham said of Trump, \u2018but in terms of actions and results, he was far better president [than] Biden. And if we have four more years of this, Liz Cheney, then we won\u2019t recognize America and the world will be truly on fire.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Graham, who has endorsed Trump ahead of the 2024 presidential election, said he understood that Cheney\u2019s \u2018hatred of Trump is real,\u2019 but warned that Biden\u2019s policies are a disaster for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I think a continuation of the Biden presidency would be a disaster for peace and prosperity at home and abroad,\u2019 Graham said. \u2018Our border is broken; the only person really going to fix our broken border is Donald Trump.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Graham also noted that Russia invaded Ukraine and terrorists attacked Israel under Biden\u2019s tenure.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018When [Trump] was president, none of this stuff was going on in Ukraine,\u2019 he said. \u2018You know, Hamas and all these other terrorist groups were afraid of Trump.\u2019<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-media fn-video\">\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<div class=\"m video-player\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Cheney, a Republican who represented Wyoming\u2019s at-large congressional district, was a vocal critic of Trump during his presidency and continued to assail the former president in her book \u2018Oath and Honor,\u2019 which she has been making the rounds publicizing.<\/p>\n<p>Cheney was ousted from Congress last year after losing to pro-Trump candidate Harriet Hageman. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n<div>This post appeared first on FOX NEWS<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sen.
