EXCLUSIVE:<\/strong> Former President Trump said President Biden is a \u2018true threat to democracy,\u2019 while reacting to his opponent\u2019s campaign speech marking three years since the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.<\/p>\n

Biden delivered a campaign speech in Blue Bell, Pa. Friday, and spent the majority of the address attacking Trump, who holds a massive lead over the GOP presidential primary field.<\/p>\n

Biden accused Trump of \u2018trying to steal history the same way he tried to steal the election,\u2019 while saying that the results of the 2020 election proved that he was a \u2018loser.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

But in an interview with Fox News Digital after Biden\u2019s speech, Trump fired back.<\/p>\n

\u2018The Democrats rigged the last election and they are trying it again,\u2019 Trump said. \u2018But it won\u2019t work because they have shown how bad and incompetent they are.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Joe Biden is the worst president in the history of the United States \u2014 he is incompetent, he is crooked, and in many respects, he is Benedict Arnold,\u2019 Trump told Fox News Digital. \u2018He is destroying our country like no one else has done before.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump, pointing to the crisis at the Southern Border, said the United States has \u2018an invasion of millions of people, many from prisons, mental institutions and terrorists pouring into our country.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018He is responsible for this,\u2019 Trump said. \u2018We are a failing nation \u2014 a nation in decline \u2014 and it is all because he is the worst president in the history of our country.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump went on to tell Fox News Digital that \u2018because of his gross incompetence, Joe Biden is a true threat to democracy.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018This is not a time for us to have a mentally challenged president,\u2019 Trump said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s comments come as Biden blasted him for \u2018the worst dereliction of duty by a president in American history\u2019 and \u2018an attempt to overturn a free and fair election by force and violence.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

But Trump pushed back, saying: \u2018The only insurrection is the insurrection that is taking place at our border where he is allowing millions of people from parts unknown to invade our country at a level far worse than even a military invasion.\u2019<\/p>\n

Trump has never been charged with insurrection, despite Special Counsel Jack Smith bringing charges against him related to an investigation into the Jan. 6 Capitol protests and the 2020 election.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Smith charged Trump with\u00a0conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding and conspiracy against rights.<\/p>\n

Trump pleaded not guilty to all charges.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
