Vivek Ramaswamy responded to Donald Trump\u2019s scathing personal attack, saying that he would not return his comments with \u2018friendly fire\u2019 or criticize the former president, but warned voters to \u2018open their eyes.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Yes, I saw President Trump\u2019s Truth Social post. It\u2019s an unfortunate move by his campaign advisors, I don\u2019t think friendly fire is helpful,\u2019 Ramaswamy wrote in a late Saturday X post. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018Donald Trump was the greatest President of the 21st century, and I\u2019m not going to criticize him in response to this late attack,\u2019 the biotech multimillionaire continued.<\/p>\n

The \u2018America first\u2019 campaigner, who has long been complimentary of the former president, defended Trump\u2019s accusations that he was \u2018not MAGA\u2019 arguing that he has \u2018defended him at every step.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m worried for Trump. I\u2019m worried for our country. I\u2019ve stood up against the persecutions against Trump, and I\u2019ve defended him at every step,\u2019 Ramaswamy said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018I showed up at the Miami courthouse in solidarity following his first federal indictment. I filed a FOIA demand to the Biden DOJ. I submitted an amicus brief this week with the U.S. Supreme Court calling on them to overturn Colorado\u2019s ruling,\u2019 Ramaswamy continued. \u2018I pledged to remove myself from Maine\u2019s & Colorado\u2019s primary ballots if they remove Trump, calling on DeSantis and Haley to do the same.\u2019<\/p>\n

Ramaswamy continued, attacking presidential candidate Nikki Haley, calling her the left\u2019s \u2018puppet\u2019 and encouraging voters to \u2018open their eyes.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018But we have to open our eyes. Last time it was a man-made pandemic & Big Tech election interference,\u2019 he wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018Now, the same billionaires funding the lawsuits against Trump are the ones trying to prop up Nikki Haley. The same MSM blasting Trump is lavishing praise on Nikki,\u2019 Ramaswamy said. \u2018They want to narrow this to a two-horse race between Trump & Haley, eliminate Trump (one way or other), & trot their puppet into the White House.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018We can\u2019t fall for that trap. 1 year from now, we won\u2019t look back and say we were shocked that it happened. We\u2019ll kick ourselves for not stopping it,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

The GOP presidential candidate concluded his response by arguing that his \u2018America First\u2019 movement did not start in 2016, but in 1776.<\/p>\n

\u2018Our movement must live on. America-First didn\u2019t start in 2016. It started in 1776,\u2019 Ramaswamy said. \u2018We owe it to our Founding Fathers to do the right thing for our country. I want to save Trump & to save this country. Let\u2019s do it together.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018You won\u2019t hear any friendly fire from me,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Ramaswamy\u2019s campaign spoke about the potential of Trump being removed from the presidential ballot.<\/p>\n

\u2018Just because it\u2019s wrong doesn\u2019t mean it won\u2019t happen & we owe it to our nation to take America-First forward,\u2019 Ramaswamy\u2019s campaign said.<\/p>\n

Ramaswamy\u2019s lengthy statement came after Trump and his team made direct, public attacks against the pharmaceutical entrepreneur.<\/p>\n

\u2018Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter, \u2018the best President in generations,\u2019 etc.,\u2019 Trump wrote in a Saturday evening Truth Social post. \u2018Unfortunately, now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks. Very sly.\u2019<\/p>\n

Trump said that Vivek is \u2018not MAGA\u2019 and encouraged his supporters to not get \u2018duped.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018A vote for Vivek is a vote for the \u2018other side\u2019 \u2014 don\u2019t get duped by this. Vote for \u2018TRUMP,\u2019 the former president said. \u2018Don\u2019t waste your vote! Vivek is not MAGA.\u2019<\/p>\n

Nikki Haley\u2019s campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital\u2019s request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
