To access the content, check your email and follow the instructions provided.\n      <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"speakable\">JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon praised former President Donald Trump\u2019s handling of the economy, immigration, China and other issues in an interview this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">Dimon made the comments defending \u2018MAGA\u2019 voters during an interview with CNBC\u2019s \u2018Squawk Box\u2019 on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018When people say \u2018MAGA,\u2019 they\u2019re actually looking at people voting for Trump, and they think they\u2019re voting \u2014 they\u2019re basically scapegoating them, that you are like him. But I don\u2019t think they\u2019re voting for Trump because of his family values,\u2019 Dimon said of the former president.<\/p>\n<p>Dimon hesitated from fully endorsing Trump\u2019s rhetoric on sensitive topics, but said it was clear many voters found value in his first term as president.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I don\u2019t like how he said things about Mexico [\u2026] but he wasn\u2019t wrong about some of these critical issues, and that\u2019s why they\u2019re voting for him,\u2019 Dimon told CNBC. \u2018I think people should be a little more respectful of our fellow citizens.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I mean, really, can we just stop that stuff and actually grow up and treat other people with respect and listen to them a little bit?\u2019 he continued. \u2018I think this negative talk about MAGA is going to hurt Biden\u2019s election campaign.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>It is only the latest commentary Dimon has offered on economic issues facing citizens across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Dimon said earlier this month that he is not convinced the Federal Reserve can achieve a soft landing as a result of their most aggressive rate hike campaign since the 1980s.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During an exclusive interview on \u2018Mornings with Maria\u2019 on Tuesday, Dimon warned about the possibility of a looming recession, while comparing the financial state to the turbulent period of 50 years ago when the nation endured a decade of high inflation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I look at a lot of things, and forget just economic models for a second, $2 trillion of fiscal deficit, the infrastructure and IRA act, the green economy, the re-militarization of the world, the restructuring of trade are all inflationary,\u2019 he told host Maria Bartiromo. \u2018And that looks a little more like the 1970s to me.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Fox News Digital\u2019s Kristen Altus contributed to this report.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>This post appeared first on FOX NEWS<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Read this article for free!
