The Trump presidential campaign issued a scathing response on Tuesday after his last remaining GOP challenger, former Ambassador Nikki Haley, announced she is not dropping out of the race to \u2018kiss the ring\u2019 despite facing a 30 point deficit in her home state of South Carolina.<\/p>\n

\u2018She\u2019s going to drop down to kiss a\u2013 when she quits, like she always does,\u2019 Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, shortly after she announced she is staying in the race at least through Saturday\u2019s South Carolina\u00a0primary.<\/p>\n

\u2018I feel no need to kiss the ring,\u2019 Haley told a crowd in Greenville, South Carolina on Tuesday. \u2018And I have no fear of Trump\u2019s retribution. I\u2019m not looking for anything from him. My own political future is of zero concern.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I refuse to quit,\u2019 Haley added. \u2018South Carolina will vote on Saturday. But on Sunday, I\u2019ll still be running for president. I\u2019m not going anywhere.\u2019<\/p>\n

In her remarks, Haley outlined her belief that the calls for her to drop out are coming from \u2018the political elite\u2019 and \u2018party bosses\u2019 and that only three states have voted so far with many more to come in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m campaigning every day until the last person votes because I believe in a better America and a brighter future for our kids,\u2019 Haley said. \u2018Nothing good in life comes easy. I\u2019m willing to take the cuts, the bruises and the name calling because the only way you get to the blessing is by going through the pain.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018The presidential primaries have barely begun. Just three states have voted. That\u2019s right. Three. That\u2019s it. After this weekend, we\u2019ll be four. That\u2019s not a lot,\u2019 Haley explained. \u2018In the ten days after South Carolina, another 21 states and territories will vote, and they deserve a real choice, not a Soviet-style election when there\u2019s only one candidate, and he gets 99% of the vote. We don\u2019t anoint kings in this country. We have elections. And Donald Trump, of all people, should know. We don\u2019t rig elections.\u2019<\/p>\n

Haley also said that part of her rationale for staying in the race is that \u2018the majority of Americans\u2019 have signaled they \u2018dislike both candidates.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018We have plenty of time to hash this out,\u2019 Haley said. \u2018If the race ended today, we would have the longest general election in history. There are still eight and a half months before Election Day. How do we really want to spend every day from now until November? Watching America\u2019s most two most disliked politicians duke it out? No sane person wants that.\u2019<\/p>\n

Nearly 800 delegates are up for grabs on Super Tuesday as 15 states hold Republican presidential contests on March 5, with over 150 at stake over the following two weeks, the Trump campaign predicted in a memo released Tuesday that the former president would secure the nomination on March 19, even under a \u2018most-generous model\u2019 for Haley.<\/p>\n

The Trump memo predicted an \u2018a\u2013 kicking in the making\u2019 in South Carolina and said the \u2018true \u2018State\u2019 of Nikki Haley\u2019s campaign\u2019 is \u2018broken down, out of ideas, out of gas, and completely outperformed by every measure, by Donald Trump.\u2019<\/p>\n

In response to Cheung\u2019s comment,\u00a0Haley spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas wrote on X, \u2018xoxo\u2019 along with a kissing emoji to which Cheung responded, \u2018All of our internship positions have been filled, but maybe you can apply for next term.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018What a move,\u2019 Haley campaign manager Betsy Ankney wrote on X in response to Cheung\u2019s comment. \u2018@TheStevenCheung is the key to winning back suburban women! #AreYouTiredOfWinningYet.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018You should ask Susie Wiles what she thinks about her people harassing women online and at our events,\u2019 Perez-Cubas said in a statement to Fox News Digital referring to an earlier altercation on the campaign trail.<\/p>\n

Cheung told Fox News Digital in a statement Tuesday that \u2018Nikki \u2018Birdbrain\u2019 Haley can\u2019t name one state she can win\u2019 and \u2018she keeps getting crushed after every single contest.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018At this point, she\u2019s Crooked Joe Biden\u2019s biggest surrogate.\u2019<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s campaign memo and Haley\u2019s speech came out hours before Trump returns to South Carolina on Tuesday to headline a Fox News town hall in Greenville hosted by Laura Ingraham. The pre-taped one-hour event, which will focus on both domestic issues and overseas conflicts, will air at 7 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

The Real Clear Politics average of polls heading into Saturday\u2019s primary election in South Carolina shows Trump leading Haley by 25 points.<\/p>\n
