A group of pro-Palestinian protesters on Monday accosted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and her fianc\u00e9 outside a movie theater in Brooklyn and demanded that she call Israel\u2019s offensive in Gaza a \u2018genocide.\u2019<\/p>\n

Video obtained by Fox News Digital shows the protesters, phones in hand, approaching the congresswoman outside the Alamo Drafthouse.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018You refuse to call it a genocide,\u2019 one of the protesters can be heard saying, to which Ocasio-Cortez fires back: \u2018I need you to understand that this is not okay.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s not okay that there\u2019s a genocide happening and you\u2019re not actively against it,\u2019 the protester says.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018You\u2019re lying!\u2019 Ocasio-Cortez shouts back.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The video shows the protesters following her down the escalator, continually berating her for not labeling the war a \u2018genocide.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018If you can\u2019t say it, just say it. Literally. We\u2019re just talking to you like normal people. Just say it\u2019s a genocide. Just say it. Over 30,000 people are dead AOC, you can\u2019t just say it for once?\u2019 another protester shouts, citing figures from the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza. \u2018Just say the word, that\u2019s it. That\u2019s all we want you to say.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

The protesters chase her and her fianc\u00e9, Riley Roberts, outside the building. At one point, Roberts pleads with the protesters to stop as they continue following the couple down the sidewalk.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One of the protesters asks whether Ocasio-Cortez is concerned her comments would \u2018go viral.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

A visibly angry Ocasio-Cortez tells the protesters that they\u2019re going to clip the video so that her comments are \u2018completely out of context.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

She then appears to concede that Israel\u2019s actions constitute a genocide.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018I already said that it was. And y\u2019all are just gonna pretend that it wasn\u2019t. Over and over again. It\u2019s f\u2014ed up man. And you\u2019re not helping these people. You\u2019re not helping them,\u2019 Ocasio-Cortez says.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The protesters, clearly unassuaged and dissatisfied with her answer, continue chasing the couple down the sidewalk. One of them mentions her past comments, condemning the Armenian genocide.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018Why won\u2019t you say it in front of everybody, why us?\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fox News Digital has reached out to Ocasio-Cortez\u2019s office for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ocasio-Cortez has repeatedly condemned Israel\u2019s retaliation after the Oct. 7 massacre, in which Hamas militants killed 1,200 civilians, injured hundreds more, and took around 250 hostages.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She has called for a ceasefire and suggested the U.S. \u2018conditioning aid, if not cutting aid to the Netanyahu government.\u2019 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Just weeks after the Oct. 7 attack, Ocasio-Cortez accused Israel of committing war crimes, while qualifying that she was not defending Hamas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
