The presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee, after hours in a Manhattan courtroom for the eighth day of his criminal trial, has repeatedly said he will debate Biden \u2018anywhere, anytime, anyplace.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Biden broke his silence on debating his 2024 opponent on Friday during an interview with radio host Howard Stern. Biden said he would be \u2018happy\u2019 to debate Trump.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018I am, somewhere, I don\u2019t know when,\u2019 Biden said, after Stern said he didn\u2019t know whether Biden would participate in a debate. \u2018I\u2019m happy to debate him.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Trump, shortly after Biden\u2019s interview, which he did during a visit to New York City Friday, posted to his Truth Social account inviting Biden to debate him at the courthouse in Lower Manhattan.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018In the alternative, he\u2019s in New York City today, although probably doesn\u2019t know it, and so am I, stuck in one of the many Court cases that he instigated as ELECTION INTERFERENCE AGAINST A POLITICAL OPPONENT \u2013 A CONTINUING WITCH HUNT!\u2019 Trump posted to Truth Social. \u2018It\u2019s the only way he thinks he can win. In fact, let\u2019s do the Debate at the Courthouse tonight \u2013 on National Television, I\u2019ll wait around!\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Trump, after court ended Friday, came out and reflected on the day of testimony.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018We sit here day, after day, after day, which is their plan,\u2019 Trump said of the Democrats, who he said hope to win the election. \u2018But I doubt it because the poll numbers are very good for us.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Trump told reporters he had invited Biden to debate.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018He can do it anytime he wants, including tonight. He can do it tonight,\u2019 Trump said. \u2018I invited him to the courthouse that he has us tied up in. This is a well coordinated attack on a political opponent.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Trump added: \u2018But I\u2019m here, I\u2019m ready, willing and able.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Trump said \u2018if he wants, I\u2019ll do it on Monday night, Tuesday night and Wednesday night.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Trump said Wednesday night he will campaign in Michigan, saying it is a state that Biden \u2018has destroyed because of the auto industry\u2019 and said auto jobs are \u2018all going over to China with his ridiculous electric vehicle mandate.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018But we\u2019re willing to do it Monday night, Tuesday night, Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night on national television,\u2019 Trump said. \u2018We\u2019re ready. Just tell me where.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018We\u2019ll do it at the White House,\u2019 Trump said. \u2018That would be very comfortable, actually. You tell me where. We\u2019re ready.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Trump told reporters that Biden was \u2018obviously not showing up now\u2019 to the courthouse.<\/p>\n
\u2018We\u2019ve heard nothing, but he said today he\u2019d love to debate,\u2019 Trump said. \u2018But he won\u2019t debate. I don\u2019t think he\u2019ll debate. Maybe he will. Maybe he will. I\u2019m not sure he has a choice.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
He added: \u2018We\u2019re ready, willing and able. We don\u2019t see him and I don\u2019t think he\u2019ll be here. Maybe next week he\u2019ll do it.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018I doubt it,\u2019 Trump said. \u2018But maybe next week.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
Earlier this month, the Trump campaign called for additional 2024 presidential debates and for them to take place \u2018much earlier\u2019 than initially proposed by the debate commission.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Trump, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital shortly after, said he is \u2018totally committed\u2019 to debating President Biden \u2018anytime, anywhere, anyplace.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
As for Biden, before today, he had not yet committed to debating his opponent.\u00a0<\/p>\n
When asked last month if he would debate the former president, Biden said it was dependent on Trump\u2019s \u2018behavior.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2018Depends on his behavior,\u2019 Biden said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, Biden addressed previous calls for earlier debates with Trump.<\/p>\n
\u2018If I were him, I would want to debate me, too,\u2019 Biden told reporters in Nevada when asked about Trump wanting to debate him earlier in the election cycle.<\/p>\n
