New York City \u2013 <\/span>Bystanders outside former President Trump\u2019s criminal trial on Wednesday spoke to Fox News Digital and blasted what they said is a political prosecution of the former president and chief political rival of President Biden.<\/p>\n

\u2018This thing is damaging to the American legal system for decades to come,\u2019 a man outside the courtroom told Fox News Digital. \u2018The political use of the courts. Listen, on this level, it\u2019s dreadful\u2026 never mind Trump, it\u2019s damaging to the country.\u2019<\/p>\n

When asked if he thought the trial was politically motivated, the man scoffed in agreement and said, \u2018It\u2019s also economically motivated.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Let\u2019s do it fair, let\u2019s lay out the deck of cards, if Biden is scared to lay down the deck of cards and ask what happened with the cocaine in the White House, the people still want to know\u2026 why CNN aint publicize that, why?\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

Another man wearing a New York Yankees cap told Fox News Digital, \u2018Why they ain\u2019t making no news about it? It\u2019s not about being a racist, you know I was a Democrat for long [time], but I had to research and start seeing things and I started to come to a clear perception and said, \u2018Nah, Donald Trump is right.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018You don\u2019t have to agree with him about everything but one thing you can say\u2026 he \u00a0love to take care of the people, he love people,\u2019 the man added.<\/p>\n

\u2018Because he\u2019s doing everything for us,\u2019 a woman outside the courtroom told Fox News Digital when asked why she believes Trump is a \u2018good president.\u2019<\/p>\n

Another man told Fox News Digital he thinks Democrats are \u2018desperate\u2019 and \u2018losing their s\u2014.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018They\u2019re losing their composure and they\u2019re just so scared that he might be elected they\u2019re just losing their stuff totally,\u2019 the man, who was holding an American flag, added.<\/p>\n

When asked what the outcome of the trial will be, the man said, \u2018His ratings will go up, we have a Constitution, so sooner or later, whatever at first happens will be overturned, so thank God we\u2019re a constitutional republic.\u2019<\/p>\n

The man said he \u2018wouldn\u2019t be surprised\u2019 if Trump was convicted in the New York City case, but the \u2018consensus seems to be a hung jury.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018It shows that it\u2019s fragile,\u2019 the man said about how this trial reflects the criminal justice system in the United States. \u2018Half the country doesn\u2019t realize that we have a constitutional republic, and they think that the quote \u2018majority\u2019 should make the laws and that\u2019s not the way it works. The Constitution supersedes the majority.\u2019<\/p>\n

Jurors in the case were handed their final instructions on Wednesday and were sent out to deliberate on Trump\u2019s guilt in the 34 charges against him stemming from allegations he improperly covered up an NDA agreement with porn star Stormy Daniels. Trump has pleaded not guilty on all counts and dismissed the allegations as a political prosecution.<\/p>\n
