{"id":20131,"date":"2024-06-24T11:47:39","date_gmt":"2024-06-24T11:47:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shareperformanceinsight.com\/index.php\/2024\/06\/24\/former-trump-national-security-adviser-details-potential-game-plan-to-divide-axis-of-evil\/"},"modified":"2024-06-24T11:47:39","modified_gmt":"2024-06-24T11:47:39","slug":"former-trump-national-security-adviser-details-potential-game-plan-to-divide-axis-of-evil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shareperformanceinsight.com\/index.php\/2024\/06\/24\/former-trump-national-security-adviser-details-potential-game-plan-to-divide-axis-of-evil\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Trump national security adviser details potential game plan to divide \u2018axis of evil\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"speakable\">Former Trump administration national security adviser Robert O\u2019Brien on Sunday laid out a potential game plan to divide the so-called \u2018axis of evil\u2019 as relations continue to grow between Russia, China, North Korea and Iran.<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">O\u2019Brien appeared on CBS\u2019 \u2018Face the Nation\u2019 and remarked that the Biden administration\u2019s \u2018lack of American leadership\u2019 has allowed this new alliance to flourish.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We haven\u2019t seen peace or strength,\u2019\u00a0O\u2019Brien said of America\u2019s role on the world stage under Biden.<\/p>\n<p>When asked how former President Trump would drive a wedge between the axis of evil after Russian President Vladimir Putin was seen driving with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in North Korea last week, O\u2019Brien said the first thing the U.S. can do is increase domestic energy production.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018These countries are reliant on Russian energy to run their economies,\u2019 he said. \u2018We need to increase our energy production.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The former Trump official said Biden diminished American energy production after taking office and canceling the Keystone XL pipeline in the U.S., while allowing Putin to open the Nord Stream Two pipeline that runs from Russia to Germany.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside increasing U.S. energy production, O\u2019Brien called for sanctions on the Russian Federation Central Bank, as well as cutting back on Russian oil sales. Regarding Tehran, O\u2019Brien said the U.S. and its allies \u2018need to put maximum pressure back on the Iranians.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>In addition to those steps, O\u2019Brien said that rebuilding the U.S. military and Navy, and getting \u2018our shipyards producing ships again,\u2019 would help assert \u2018peace through strength.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Those are the things that\u2019ll divide the alliance, this axis of evil,\u2019 O\u2019Brien said.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>After failing to stop Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine, O\u2019Brien said the U.S. must take a strong posture in Asia to deter China from a similar invasion of Taiwan. He said moving U.S. Marines out of Germany and other garrisons in Europe to Guam, Hawaii, the Philippines and Australia would act as a strong message to China not to invade.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The key is to deter war, not to fight and win a war, which we would need to do if it happens,\u2019 O\u2019Brien said. \u2018Strength will deter the Chinese from invading. It\u2019s not talk.
