Some of the deceased were found pinned beneath rocks, state media reported.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\">      Earlier on Saturday, Zimbabwe\u2019s Vice President, Constantino Chiwenga said up to 13 people may have died from the accident.   <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\">Chiwenga added that the government would support funeral costs for the deceased.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\">      The mine, which is located in Zimbabwe\u2019s Mashonaland West province, sits 62 miles west of the Zimbabwean capital, Harare. The miners had gone into the mine \u2013 said to be about 150 meters deep, \u201cusing undesignated entry points,\u201d Chombo added.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\">      Chombo asked mining companies in the province to assist in rescue operations.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\">      \u201cThe mines have expertise and other machines and equipment that could be helpful,\u201d she told reporters.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder\">      Artisanal mining is common in Zimbabwe, which is rich in vast deposits of gold and diamonds.
